With injuries tearing through the squad at the moment, we’re starting to see links with a number of players ahead of the January transfer window. One such player is Napoli’s Brazilian midfielder Jorginho, a player who would be open to an Arsenal switch this winter, according to IBT.
Jorginho only moved to the Serie A side in 2014, but struggled to make any kind of impact at the club initially. He has thrived under new management however, and has started to see regular first team football under Maurizio Sarri.
The report suggests we are one of a number of clubs who are keen on securing his signature in January, and have allegedly sent scouts to watch him play.
IBT goes on to claim that he’d be interested in a move to the Emirates, but that he isn’t focusing on the transfer window at the moment.
Arsenal transfer news
There are definitely question marks over whether the 23-year-old is of the standard to play for Arsenal, as it’s not like he has consistently been lighting up the Italian league. Arsene Wenger may see something in him though, so we’ll have to wait and see.
