Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers has responded to reports linking him with the Arsenal manager’s position (via The Daily Record).
It’s something which Arsenal fans haven’t had to deal with for over two decades as we wonder who will be the next manager
The feeling that Arsene Wenger will leave the club in the summer is only growing and there would be no shortage of applicants for the position.
The likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Leonardo Jardim and Brendan Rodgers have been linked with the position and now, the latter has had his say on the reports.
“Arsenal are a great club, they have a great manager and they are going through a tough time of course,” Celtic boss Rodgers said.

“I’m loving my life up here. I’m not going to be here forever but I’m living in a dream.
“Dreams always come to an end at some point, that’s for sure. But I am always relaxed about speculation and what not. My focus is only on Celtic.
“People will look at it and see that I went to Liverpool, they were struggling for five seasons for Champions League football and I was able to get them back.
“And when I came to Celtic, they hadn’t been in the Champions League for two seasons and I got them back.
“So maybe people are thinking okay, Arsenal have been out of the Champions League and is that maybe the equation for someone like myself.
“The other stuff you can’t control so I can’t worry about it.”
Those are some interesting quotes from the Celtic boss. Rodgers did some wonderful things at Liverpool but ultimately, his time there was a disappointment. He’s a good manager but hopefully, the Gunners will be looking for a new boss to not just take them into the Champions League but to take them all the way to the Premier League title.
