Arsenal are no strangers to shock defeats in cup competitions, with painful memories of our surprise loss against Bradford in the Capital One Cup still etched in our minds. It is refreshing therefore, to hear Arsene Wenger reveal that we will not be taking Brighton lightly this Sunday, as reported by ITV.
We are heading to the Falmer Stadium on the back of a confidence boosting 2-0 win over Manchester City, and the team will be looking to kick on against the Seagulls.
Arsene Wenger is likely to make a few changes ahead of the crunch FA Cup clash, but knows that fielding a strong team is important.
“We have to study them well,” he said.
“In the cup, you have to be ready from the start and people like that can always surprise you if you are not ready.

“It is always difficult in the Championship away from home.
“We needed to dig deep to get out with a positive result.”
As the current holders of the FA Cup, there will be that extra impetus for the players to get the win on Sunday. An away game is always tricky in the cup, but we should certainly have more than enough about us to see them off.
Brighton are known for the quality of their football, so they may play right into our hands. They are not a team known for their physicality or route one football, so hopefully there won’t be any nasty surprises on the day.
