Bukayo Saka has reacted to his first goal for the Arsenal first team after a standout performance on Thursday night (via Arsenal.com).
It’s fair to say that youngster Bukayo Saka caught the eye on Thursday night’s 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 18-year-old scored and grabbed two assists in the win, capping what was a truly excellent performance.
There has been considerable excitement about the winger at Hale End and now, the attacker has responded to his breakout performance for the first team.
“It’s a very proud moment and I’m just so happy. It’s a dream come true,” Saka told the media after the match.
“Since I was as a kid I’ve always dreamed of scoring for Arsenal’s first team, so now I’ve done that and I just want to do it more and get that feeling many more times.
“Their fans get behind them a lot and the fans on that end were just making noise the whole way, the whole game long.
“That’s big support for them, but we said that we just have to play with our confidence, play our game, stick to our game plan and everything will be fine. We don’t have to let it affect us.”
It was an excellent performance from Bukayo Saka. The 18-year-old must have surely played himself into consideration for the Arsenal first team for Sunday’s Premier League match against Aston Villa. Let’s hope that is the case because he’s got a whole lot more to contribute to the club.
