Santi Cazorla has given an injury update ahead of Saturday’s clash with Manchester United and admits he still does not know when he expects to return to the Arsenal team.
The midfielder has been out of action since being forced off in the Champions League win over Ludogorets back in October with an Achilles injury.
While Arsenal have plenty of options in midfield, Cazorla has been missed and his latest comments suggest he is likely to be sidelined for a while longer.
“Well, I still don’t know the exact time,” he told Cadena Cope.
“I am trying to return as soon as soon as possible to be with the team again but I cannot say if it will be soon or if I still have a few weeks left.
“It is what I do not know but hopefully it will be as soon as possible.”

Cazorla’s latest update suggests he is likely to miss the weekend trip to Manchester United and possibly the midweek Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain, which should determine who tops the group.
His absence will be a blow to manager Arsene Wenger who may also be without Hector Bellerin, after he pulled out of Spain Under-21 duty with some reports claiming he could be out for the rest of the month.
The fitness of Alexis Sanchez will also surely remain a concern, despite his two goals for Chile on Tuesday, although he did appear to come through the game unscathed.
