Piers Morgan has once again called for Arsene Wenger’s head, claiming that the Frenchman should just quit out of pure embarrassment.
The journalist claims that due to our current situation – sitting 11 points behind league leaders Leicester – Wenger should simply step down.
Arsenal now 11pts behind Leicester.
If I were Wenger, I’d quit out of pure embarrassment. #afc

It’s unquestionably frustrating that we look set to miss out on yet another league title, more so because it’s Leicester City that are likely to be the ones lifting the trophy come the end of the campaign.
Wenger no longer has the excuse that we’re incapable of competing financially, as the Foxes are on the verge of winning with a squad the fraction of the value of ours.
That said though, Leicester have been fantastic this season, and are more than deserving of their current spot in the league. They’ve embarrassed pretty much every club in the league with their performances, but that’s no reason to clean house throughout the Premier League.

This is just another excuse for Morgan to push his anti-Wenger agenda, and the consistent jabs at the 66-year-old are getting tiring.
It may well be time for Wenger to step down, and a huge portion of the Arsenal fanbase believe he’s overstayed his welcome after two decades. Losing out on the title to Leicester is not a reason for him to quit though, and the problems at Arsenal go much deeper.
It doesn’t matter who is ahead of us, and if Leicester and Manchester City’s positions were reversed we’d still be no closer to winning the league.
Arsenal transfer news
While it is disappointing that we couldn’t capitalise on the struggles of Man City, Chelsea, and the rest of the usual top four suspects, our problem is not that we’re behind Leicester and Tottenham, it’s that we have yet again failed to win the league.
