Mo Farah claims he wanted his son’s middle name to be Arsenal in honour of his favourite club, but unfortunately his wife forbade it, as reported by Goal.
The long distance runner is a well known Arsenal fan, but you have to be a massive Gooner to want to name your son after the club. His wife Tania reportedly refused to go along with his plans however, and refused to give their son Hussein the middle name Arsenal.
“I wanted Arsenal to be Hussein’s middle name, but Tania wasn’t having it,” Farah told OK Magazine (via Goal).
There are plenty of celebrity Arsenal fans, some more famous than others. Mo Farah is one of the biggest though, with the double Olympic champion a world renowned athlete.

While it’s a shame that he wasn’t able to give his son such an excellent choice of middle names, you can understand that his wife wasn’t thrilled by the idea. She obviously isn’t as big an Arsenal fan as her husband, so you can’t blame her for not wanting the name of the club attached to her son forever.
