The Swiss international had been heavily linked with us in January (via the Express), but those rumours have cooled since the 31-year-old signed a new deal.
However, with the injury problems suffered by Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers lacking experience, Wenger could look to bring Lichsteiner in to cover the centre-back and right-back positions.
