Chelsea prodigy Ruben Loftus-Cheek has revealed that Thierry Henry was his idol when he was growing up after taking part in a series on the Premier League’s official Twitter page detailing who he would invite for dinner.
While the other player listed a number of movie stars and musicians, Loftus-Cheek immediately named Henry as his first guest should he host a dinner party.
The Chelsea starlet seems to be the brightest talent to emerge from their ranks although he will probably find it hard to experience first-team opportunities under Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has a reputation for his lack of patience for young stars and given that the immediate success is the only thing which drives him on a daily basis, youngsters have never flourished under his tutelage.
At the age of 19, it is no surprise to know that Loftus-Cheek idolised Henry given that the Frenchman was dominating the Premier League while the young midfielder was growing up.
