Chelsea are experiencing something of an injury crisis up front at the moment, and Jose Mourinho will have to make a late decision on the availability of Diego Costa ahead of his side’s trip to the Emirates, as reported by Sky Sports.
The Brazilian born Spaniard has been struggling for fitness recently, and has been plagued by an ongoing hamstring problem. Mourinho was hopeful that the striker would return for their trip to North London, but it’s looking more and more likely that he will remain sidelined.
Things were looking up for us at the start of the week, with all three of the Blues’ strikers out of action. Sky Sports report that Didier Drogba has recovered for the clash, but Loic Remy will certainly miss the match – and we will have to wait and see with Costa.
Arsene Wenger has a horrendous record against Mourinho, having never beaten a team managed by the Portuguese boss. This is a fantastic chance for the Frenchman to end that abysmal run though, with things looking good for us this weekend.
We are the in form team in the Premier League at the moment, and are on an unbelievable winning streak. Chelsea have been putting points on the board, but certainly haven’t been playing their best football recently.

With a handful of key players missing, Mourinho’s side will hopefully be left toothless. The former Real Madrid boss may look to shut up shop and play for the draw, but hopefully with the likes of Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, and Mesut Özil at our disposal, we can batter down the doors and get Wenger’s first win against his loathsome counterpart.
