Chelsea skipper John Terry has seemingly confirmed that we’ve signed Petr Cech and has backed his potentially former teammate to shine for us next season, talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil reports.

After Sky Sports News reported that a deal was imminent on Sunday evening, it seems as though the Chelsea camp are resigned to seeing their legendary figure lineup for us next season.
Terry’s choice of words are both interesting and encouraging, especially given that he knows what it takes to win a Premier League title. We finished 12 points behind Chelsea last season and Cech could invariably bridge that gap on his own such is the importance of a top quality goalkeeper in this division.
- Arsenal keeping tabs on €40m Italy star after ‘outstanding’ season
- Where Arsenal would have finished in the league without VAR
- Arsenal’s top Hector Bellerin replacement is now available for £30m
If there was one player who is aware of the Cech’s capabilities, It’s the Chelsea skipper and he certainly seems worried that the 33-year-old’s imminent move will transform us into instant title challengers.
We shouldn’t stop here though as there still remain some deficiencies in our squad but this potential deal indicates is that Wenger is ready to pounce if a world class player becomes available – no matter the position.
