A Chilean newspaper has made the bizarre claim that Alexis Sanchez’s future is dependent on whether or not he plays Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea (via Sport Witness).
Regardless of what happens on the pitch, the big story at Arsenal right now is the future of Alexis Sanchez.
Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere also have theirs on the line but it is the Chilean who will grab the headlines because of his importance to the Gunners team.
For a while, Manchester City were seen as the likely next destination for the 29-year-old who is reportedly refusing to sign a new deal at the Emirates.
Now, reports in his native Chile suggest that the future of Alexis Sanchez will be dependent on one very key detail: whether or not he features for Arsenal against Chelsea on Wednesday evening.

It’s unclear what the reasoning is behind these claims behind by La Cuarta but that is exactly what has been argued. Whether the paper believes there is some sort of law which states that he cannot move to another club if he features this evening is unclear. It’s a bizarre story and surely not based on any sort of truth.
