Thierry Henry is not confident in our ability to bounce back after our 3-2 loss against Manchester United, and claims winning the title may well be out of our reach now, as reported by Goal.
The Arsenal legend was incredibly disappointed with our performance this past Sunday, and let us know on Sky Sports following the game. No footballer is a total stranger to embarrassing losses, but the Frenchman obviously tended to be doling them out rather than on the receiving end.
This was a chance for us to really show our title credentials, but Henry believes instead we did the exact opposite and showed that we’re still not ready to push for the title.
“I don’t think that would have happened [when I played for Arsenal]. Things did happen in my time, we did lose 6-1 but we were the wounded team when we came here [at Old Trafford],” he said.
“That wasn’t a performance from a team who want to be champions. That’s where, as an Arsenal fan, I’m looking at it, I’m not sure that team can be champions, can they show me they can be champions? Today, they didn’t reassure me on anything.
“The only thing that’s good is that they are still in the title race, other than that they were second best in everything. It was a really poor performance.”

With the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea faltering this season, it’s arguably our best chance in years to clinch the Premier League title. We haven’t been playing like we want to top the table come the end of the campaign though, and with the season on its last legs we’re running out of time to turn things around.
Arsenal transfer news
Leicester City have barely lost this season – two of their three losses coming against us – and Tottenham have been annoyingly consistent, so even a five point gap could potentially prove too big a margin for us to close now. That doesn’t mean we should give up though, and we really need to make sure we don’t drop any more needless points.
