It’s difficult to accurately compare players across different leagues, but these figures will at least go some way to showing us what we can expect from our new Brazilian buy.

The 24-year-old has the best defensive score out of all five players, and excels in a number of areas.
He narrowly pips Laurent Koscielny in terms of interceptions, making a massive 3.81 per game. The former Villarreal man makes a massive number of clearances as well, but just loses out to his new French teammate in that department.
Our new man also comes out on top in tackles lost, losing just 0.67 tackles per match. His tackles won stat of 0.78 looks nowhere near as impressive as Calum Chambers’ 2.20, but when you look at tackles won and tackles lost together and compare success rates, you can see our January signing comes out on top.
There appear to be no weak areas in his game, and on paper he looks to be the most accomplished defender we have. Whether he can adapt to the Premier League however, remains to be seen.
