Arsenal-AS Monaco
UEFA Champions League
The Emirates
Kick off: February 25th, 2015 1945 GMT
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is leaving nothing to chance in the first leg of the Champions League tie, naming a strong team against the French side AS Monaco. A good result in the home game will mean a measure of security and confidence heading into the return leg, and the manager has fielded the best possible team to secure that result.
Ospina retains his place between the sticks, with Szczesny relegated to the bench yet again. Youngster Bellerin is handed a start, alongside Mertesacker, Koscielny and Gibbs in defence. Francis Coquelin retains his starting berth along with the attacking setup of Cazorla, Ozil and Sanchez. We also start with two strikers yet again.
The bench has a decidedly defensive composition to it, however the Ox and Walcott are capable of providing a late burst of pace should it be needed.
