The teams have been announced for our FA Cup clash with Watford, and Arsene Wenger looks to have mixed resting a few players and going all out in the cup.
David Ospina naturally starts in goal, with Petr Cech still absent. The manager has rested a couple of defensive players ahead of our clash with Barcelona though, with Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin both on the bench, Calum Chambers and Kieran Gibbs starting ahead of them. Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker start centrally, with Laurent Koscielny still omitted from the squad altogether.
Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny are paired in midfield, with the Egyptian most likely playing a slightly more advanced role. They are deployed behind Mesut Özil, whose inclusion shows just how seriously the manager is taking the FA Cup. That is merely backed up by the fact that Alexis Sanchez is also featuring, with the Chilean starting alongside Joel Campbell – who more than deserves a start after his performance against Hull City.
Olivier Giroud continues to lead the line after his brace against the Tigers, while Theo Walcott is relegated to the bench despite two goals of his own. He’s joined by Danny Welbeck, Mathieu Flamini, and Alex Iwobi, who will be hoping to play some part in this quarter final clash.

It’s a strong starting XI from Watford, who clearly want to go as far as possible in the FA Cup too. We should be steamrolling them though, as Wenger has named a top quality side.
Arsenal transfer news
With many of the big hitters already out of the competition we really have no excuse not to win it now, and need to start with a win over Watford.
