The lineups for the North London derby this Sunday afternoon have been released, and there are some pleasant surprises from Arsenal’s point of view.
The biggest boost is Laurent Koscielny, who after being benched for the Bayern Munich game with a minor problem has returned to the starting lineup.
The rest of the team is as you’d expect, with injuries leaving us with very few options. Petr Cech starts in goal, with Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny in front of him. Mathieu Debuchy and Nacho Monreal are on the flanks, with Hector Bellerin still not able to make the bench.
Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla continue in midfield, with Mesut Özil in front of them. Alexis Sanchez takes his usual place on the left, while Joel Campbell starts on the right despite a truly poor showing against Bayern Munich.
Olivier Giroud continues to lead the line in Theo Walcott’s absence, with the Frenchman in fine goalscoring form.
There’s more good news on the bench, with David Ospina and Mikel Arteta returning to the squad after being sidelined for quite some time (via the Metro).

Hopefully we can continue our fine run of form in the Premier League, and capitalise on Manchester City’s dropped points against Aston Villa to move top of the league.
