Bad news broke yesterday with reports suggesting Petr Cech would miss the chance to face his former side in the Cup final but he’s been deemed fit enough to make the bench. Cup-keeper David Ospina is starting between the sticks as expected.
Laurent Koscielny misses the tie after picking up a frustrating red card last weekend against Everton, which means a first start of the season for club captain Per Mertesacker. Rob Holding starts alongside Nacho Monreal. Shkodran Mustafi misses out all together as he is still suffering from concussion.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to the lineup albeit as the left wing-back and Hector Bellerin starts on the right flank. Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey remain in the middle.
Danny Welbeck starts once more ahead of Olivier Giroud up top. Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez will support the Englishman.
