Lukas Podolski has arrived in Milan ahead of his loan deal for the remainder of the campaign and is expected to complete a medical tomorrow morning.
The Germany international was greeted by fans and the media at the Milan airport this evening and spoke with the press upon arrival.
Podolski seemed destined for a departure after failing to appear in Arsenal’s past three games and allegedly picked up a groin injury prior to Thursdays loss to Southampton.
The 29-year-old has been a frustrated figure this campaign being restricted to substitute appearances in the league and three starts in the clubs Champions League run.
Podolski will undergo a medical tomorrow before signing for Robert Mancini’s Nerazzurri as soon as the transfer window opens in Italy on Monday morning.

Podolski told Sky Sport Italia at the airport:
I’m happy to be here today. I wanted to come here. I know the Italian league. It’s a strong league and I’m happy to be here and I want to help Inter get into the Champions League this season.
We’re in the Europa League too so let’s see what happens. Forza Inter and I hope for a good season.
It has been suggested Podolski could make his first appearance in black and blue on Tuesday when Inter travel to Serie A champions Juventus. So much for his groin injury huh?
Wenger is obviously not convinced the German will not add anything to this side for the remainder of the campaign. Let’s see if he’s right.
