The England star returned home early from international duty after suffering the injury, and is currently undergoing treatment at London Colney.
He has been in good form recently – especially for the national side – and would be a definite blow if he fails to recover. He may not have been one of our stand-out performers this season, but he is hard working, athletic, and hungry for goals.
The result of our clash at the Emirates this weekend could have massive bearings on the final top four standings, with a loss for Liverpool potentially putting them out of the race for a Champions League spot.

Welbeck was on target for England during their qualifying match against Lithuania, although his mishit shot did take a heavy deflection to beat the goalkeeper. He was also involved in Wayne Rooney’s opening goal – with his superb run finishing with a parried shot, falling straight to his skipper to nod home – and eventually earned himself the man of the match award.
