The BBC’s David Ornstein has confirmed that two players will be having medicals at Arsenal today ahead of their prospective moves.
He’s the man every Arsenal fan waits to hear from when it comes to transfers and today, David Ornstein has confirmed that not one but two deals are close to completion.
It’s no secret that Lucas Torreira is closing in on a move to the Emirates and Ornstein has confirmed that the Uruguay midfielder will have a medical today.
The 22-year-old will join from Sampdoria after finishing up in the World Cup with the Uruguay national team.
Two medicals taking place at Arsenal today – 22-year-old Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria and 19-year-old France Under-20 midfielder Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient. Torreira key signing for immediate term, Guendouzi high-potential prospect for future #AFC #URU #FRA

However, Torreira is not the only one. We reported yesterday that the Gunners were expected to sign Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient and Ornstein has also confirmed that deal.

The 19-year-old France youth international will have his medical too ahead of what is expected to be a €8 million deal.
It’s great to hear that these two deals are close to completion. Lucas Torreira, in particular, will add so much to the Arsenal team and Matteo Guendouzi seems like a good young prospect too.
