With the signing of Kim Källström now complete, a number of other transfer rumours are popping up as we approach the final 2 hours of deadline day.
One of them has been present repeatedly this January, and that’s 22 year old Barcelona Winger Cristian Tello. Despite Barca coming out and saying that Tello will be staying with them for the remainder of the season, reports suggest that Wenger is still interested in the young Spaniard. I believe this is a rumour to keep an eye on, despite the Catalan clubs insistence he is going nowhere.
A slightly more far fetched rumour, is SportsDirectNews‘ claim that Arsenal are considering a loan move for AC Milan and ex Manchester City hard man Nigel De Jong. He has Premier League experience, and is in a position we need strengthening, but I just don’t see him as a Wenger type of player. Milan aren’t in great shape at the moment, so it’s no surprise that De Jong might want to jump ship, and make a move back to England. But I personally can’t see Arsenal as his destination, and I’m not sure he would suit us either.
Just 2 hours left until the window closes, will Wenger surprise us again tonight?
