The Edinson Cavani to Arsenal rumours have snowballed out of control in what has seemingly been a matter of moments, with a £45m deal now agreed, as reported by the Daily Star.
It emerged this past Monday evening that Arsene Wenger had been spotted on a flight to Paris (via the Daily Star), with Arsenal fans hoping it was to secure a deal for the Uruguayan.
The report emanated from a Twitter account named GestiFuteFifa, which tweeted a picture which appeared to be Wenger on a plane. The news spread like wildfire, with the Twitterverse taking the story and running with it.

GestiFuteFifa then claimed a deal was close to completion, with a £45m fee agreed and a medical set for deadline day (via the Star). This was enough for the Star, who claim it’s “deal done” where the Paris Saint-Germain star is concerned.
The report does suggest that the claims are “highly sensational”, but we’ll have to wait and see if there’s any truth behind the rumours.

Arsenal transfer news
We are all hoping for a striker signing before the window closes, and Cavani seems the only potential arrival at this point. Hopefully we aren’t left disappointed come deadline day, and Cavani – or another top class striker – makes am Emirates switch.
