Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has provided a troubling update on the future of Aaron Ramsey amid contract negotiations (via Arsenal.com).
It was pleasing to see Arsenal pick up a late equaliser against Chelsea in Dublin on Wednesday night.
The Gunners put in a decent performance for the most part but were left a little exposed prior to kickoff following the injury picked up by Aaron Ramsey.
The Welshman was due to start but picked up a strain prior to kick off and was replaced by Emile Smith Rowe.
It came amid the reports surrounding Ramsey’s future. His current contract expires at the end of the season and Emery was asked whether he thinks the Welshman will sign a new deal at the Emirates.
“I don’t know,” Emery replied.

“It’s one question for the club and another for the player. I am very, very concentrated and my focus is thinking every day about the training, the players and the match on Saturday against Lazio, and then against Manchester City.
“I think my opinion is clear, I want him to be with us, but then it’s one question for the player and the club. My opinion is professional and is in the interest of the team.”
Nobody seems to know whether Aaron Ramsey will stay at the club. The Welshman was a hugely important part of the team last season but the transfer window closes next week. Things should have been decided by now given how little time there is left to sign a potential replacement.
