Unai Emery has revealed what he thinks Arsenal need to do to reach the top four of the Premier League (via The Independent).
The 1-0 defeat to West Ham United was a hugely disappointing result for Arsenal and Unai Emery.
The performance was uninspiring and it cast huge doubts over the Gunners’ chances of reaching the top four in the Premier League this season.
Qualification for the Champions League was always going to be Emery’s aim in his first season and now, the Spaniard has revealed what he thinks Arsenal need to do to secure a top-four spot.
“Now it’s more difficult, it’s clear,” Emery said after the match.
“I think the most important thing for us is to recover our confidence and be more competitive. We need consistency over 38 matches. Now it isn’t enough at the moment.

“If we had won we are playing against Chelsea with a three-point maximum distance. The big opportunity for us is that we can take in our hands the possibility to be closer to them. This result makes that more difficult.”
It was such a disheartening performance from the Gunners. Arsenal were completely lacking in drive and creativity on the day. Unai Emery’s men will need to greatly improve if they are to have any chance of getting a result against Chelsea.
