Barcelona have once again been accused of dodgy dealings, with the La Liga giants apparently guilty of tapping up a number of players – including Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin (via Spanish publication El Confidencial).

The report comes from Spanish journalist Kike Marin, who insists that Barcelona have been talking to Bellerin without Arsenal’s permission in an attempt to lure him away from north London and back to the Nou Camp.

Barcelona seem to be constantly embroiled in one scandal or another recently, and it’s unclear whether this is due to new and dodgier tactics from the club or whether the stories are only now coming out of the woodwork and into the light.
Athletic Bilbao’s Aymeric Laporte is another player who has been named by Marin, with Barcelona apparently also talking to the French youngster. He’s one of the most highly rated young defenders in the game right now, and if true, Barca are clearly trying to steal a march on their opposition to secure his signature.

Laporte may be swayed by Barcelona’s allure, but it doesn’t seem like Bellerin has any intention of leaving. The Spaniard has insisted that London is his home, Arsenal are his family, and claims he can’t see himself playing anywhere else (via The Evening Standard).
Arsenal transfer news
It would be a massive blow if we were to lose Bellerin, so it’s fantastic to hear that the 21-year-old is so committed to Arsenal. For the first time in a long time we look to be building something great at Arsenal rather than looking to hold things together, and Bellerin could be a massive piece of the puzzle. We need to ensure we keep our best players as well as our up and coming stars, and right now Bellerin falls into both categories.
