Everton are reportedly interested in making a move for Danny Welbeck, that’s if they fail in their efforts to land Olivier Giroud.
According to the Mirror, Giroud remains the Toffees’ top target, but he is yet to decide if he wants to leave the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger has previously insisted he is determined to keep hold of the France international, despite having signed Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
Should Giroud prove unobtainable for Everton, they will instead turn their attentions to Welbeck, who could cost up to £30 million.
The former Manchester United man has endured a miserable time with injuries, but made his comeback at the end of last season and will now be eyeing an injury-free spell.
Everton have already signed Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney, but reportedly still want to strengthen their attack further, following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
Should Alexis Sanchez remain at the club, and with Lacazette now in the ranks, it is possible Arsenal could be willing to allow Giroud or Welbeck to leave.

Giroud made just 11 Premier League starts last season, although he proved he is an important member of the squad with a return of 16 goals in all competitions.
Welbeck, meanwhile, missed most of the season, making just eight starts, and an offer of £30m may prove tempting for a player that arrived for just £16m and has a chequered injury record.
