He insists that at the moment he can’t comment on his client’s availability, but at the same time talks up Arsenal. He claims any player would love to make the switch to the Emirates, clearly suggesting that if the interest is real then Walace would love to join Arsenal.
“Now I can’t confirm nothing. He is a player of Gremio,” his agent Marco Busiello.
“Arsenal is a top club and everyone would like play in this club. But now it’s just words.”
The 20-year-old is being chased by a host of European clubs, but a move to Arsenal could prove problematic. He’s yet to play for Brazil and a work-permit could therefore be an issue, and it’s not hard to see him becoming another Wellington Silva or Joel Campbell – loaned out season after season before he’s actually able to play for Arsenal.
The fee being touted would exactly brake the bank though, and if he turns out to be a booming success then £6.6m (via the Daily Star) would prove a real bargain. We have no idea whether the interest is even real though, so at the moment there’s no reason to give it too much thought.

The report suggests he’s currently contracted until 2018, so if Gremio are looking to cash in then they’d want to sell him sooner rather than later – as letting him get into the last year of his contract could be risky – so let’s just see what happens this summer.
