Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan never needs a second invitation to poke fun at Robin van Persie and after it emerged that the Dutchman was set for a move to Fenerbahce, he had a field day on the former Gunner.

The Guardian reported that Van Persie has agreed personal terms with the Turkish side and a fee remained the only obstacle before the move was finalised.
Van Persie claimed that he left us to better his career and that the club didn’t agree with him on “the way Arsenal FC should move forward”, via BBC Sport.
Since the Dutchman departed for Manchester United, we’ve won more trophies than him while signing world-class stars such as Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Petr Cech.

Just what Van Persie was referring to isn’t quite clear, but it’s evident that his career has taken a downward spiral since leaving the Emirates Stadium and, quite frankly, it’s been a joy to watch.
Hopefully, these reports prove to be unfounded and Van Persie can stay in England to see us lift the Premier League title in May.
