Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles is earning rave reviews after an impressive start to his loan spell at Ipswich Town, with Mick McCarthy certainly a fan of the midfielder, BBC Sport reports.
Maitland-Niles impressed for the U-21s last season, and the fact that he was handed his debut in a Champions League tie against Galatasaray shows the trust Arsene Wenger has in the 17-year-old.
On that occasion he was brought on for Aaron Ramsey and played in midfield, but Maitland-Niles is equally as comfortable on the flanks – where he seems to be operating for the Championship side.

Maitland-Niles is one of a number of our players currently out on loan, with our development squad undergoing drastic changes; the likes of which we haven’t witnessed for a long time.
While many have departed, we have also been busy scouring the world for the best talent, which has seen the likes of Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Yassin Fortune come to the club.
Hopefully, these loan spells will have the desired effect and our young stars can return ready to contribute to our squad.
