Cesc Fabregas says he is desperate to face Arsenal on Saturday and insists the Gunners will always have a place in his heart, ahead of Chelsea’s visit to the Emirates on Saturday evening.
The midfielder has struggled to force his way into Antonio Conte’s plans this season but hit the headlines after sending the Blues into the fourth round of the EFL Cup with his first goals of the season in the 4-2 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Fabregas who has yet to start in the Premier League this season is hoping he can done enough to convince his manager he is worthy of a place in the starting XI.
“Arsenal is a special fixture because I’ve lived moments there that I’ve never lived in my career. It’s a very special place for me and that’s it,” he said according to the Evening Standard.
“No matter what I hear or what they say to me, Arsenal will always be a fantastic, special club in my heart.
“They gave me absolutely everything and I will repeat it until I die, no matter what they will always be in my heart.”

Fabregas may be keen to start but Conte was reluctant to discuss the midfielder after the Leicester win and refused to guarantee he had done enough to earn himself a place in the team for the Emirates clash.
“I want to win and my choice is done to win. I don’t care what their name is. For me it’s important when I call someone to play and they show me my choice is not wrong,” he said via ESPN.
“All the players in my squad are a possibility to play against Arsenal. There are three days before the game and they have the opportunity to convince me to put them in.
Having seemingly returned to form against Leicester, Arsenal will surely relish the sight of Fabregas on the Chelsea bench on Saturday. Gooners will also be pleased the Blues were forced to play extra-time away from home on Tuesday night, while a heavily-rotated Gunners side made light work of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Arsenal play Chelsea on Saturday Evening.
