After the sad departure of our talismanic captain Cesc Fabregas, he has been quick to remind us that two great midfielders still remain in the form of Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey.
Speaking about the two youngsters, he said: “I’ve seen Aaron for three years and Jack for two-and-a-half years. Jack will be the next England captain in a few years, that’s not even a question.
“You don’t have to be a magician to know that he’s got the capacity to dribble, to pass, he will go on to become a top player of the future. There’s not even a question about that.
“Aaron has done unbelievable and he will get better with his final ball. He’ll become the next big star at Arsenal. Jack and Aaron are the future, and they will do so well because they are competitive and they are winners. They will be amazing for the club.”
Although promising and valid statements, it must be said that comments about Nasri are nowhere to be seen as it looks increasingly likely he is going to move away from the Emirates sooner rather than later.
I have to say I agree wholeheartedly with Fabregas regarding Wilshere and Ramsey. There is no doubt Ramsey is an exciting player, but it is evident that he still lacks the ability to produce the incisive through ball that Fabregas and Wilshere are consistently capable of. Hopefully he can improve and become the all-round creative midfielder we know he can be and hopefully fill the Fab gap!
