Arsenal’s resolve in the transfer market is set to be tested this summer, with reports suggesting that Manchester City are eyeing up a move for midfielder Jack Wilshere, report the Daily Star.
Wilshere has been out with yet another ankle injury since November and, after returning to full training last month, our academy product suffered another set-back and needed further surgery.
According to the report, Man City’s interest in Wilshere stems from their concern surrounding their home-grown quota, which makes the rumours sound somewhat unfounded.

With three more years left on his current contract, the club were rumoured to be looking to hand Wilshere a new deal earlier on in the season, worth £150,000-a-week to make him the club’s highest paid player (via Mirror Football).
