Although he may not be the player most fans were hoping to see join the club this January, we have allegedly had a bid accepted for Legia Warsaw midfielder Krystian Bielik, according to the Guardian.
Having seen two bids for the 17-year-old rejected already, we finally look to have reached an agreement; a £2.4m bid accepted by the Polish club.
His versatility means he is able to play centre-back as well as defensive midfield, two positions we badly need to strengthen this winter.
Despite his age, Arsene Wenger reportedly believes Bielik may be ready to make the step up to first team football already. It is more likely that he will prove to be one for the future however, and there is nowhere better than Arsenal for nurturing young talent.
It was claimed that the Under-17s international would be immediately loaned back to Legia Warsaw upon completion of the deal, but now looks set to join up with his new teammates straight away.

He is unquestionably an extremely talented young player, but I’m sure I would not be alone in my fury if Bielik proves to be our sole signing in defensive midfield this January.
