As we all know by now, Wenger’s loyalty to players reaches levels difficult to find anywhere in the world and in any profession. The fact that Francis Coquelin remained at the club for so long to finally burst into the first-team is another illustration of the boss’ qualities.
However, on some occasions, it could also be one of his most damaging flaws and if we’re to realistically challenge Jose Mourinho’s well oiled Chelsea machine, Wenger needs to become more ruthless.

5) Tomas Rosicky
It’s been well documented that Wenger has decided to activate an extension in Rosicky’s current contract in order to keep the midfielder at the club (via The Independent).
However since then, the Czech star has hardly been involved in the match day squad, let alone getting minutes on the pitch.
“Since the moment Arsene Wenger ‘used’ the option in my contract, I haven’t even been on the bench. I am laughing, but it’s not funny,” Rosicky bemoaned this week (via the Mirror).
