Arsenal put on arguably their best display of the season this past Sunday afternoon, picking apart Manchester United and running out comfortable 3-0 winners. We really showed our intent against last week’s league leaders, and it was the kind of display that can kickstart your season.
There were a number of important points to be taken from the game, and we’ve highlighted five of the biggest:
5) Alexis is back, with a vengeance
It’s been a worrying start to the season for Alexis Sanchez, as the Chilean has looked jaded since his return from the Copa America and has really struggled for goals.
It seems all he needed was one to get him back into the swing of things though, and he now looks to be making up for lost time. His hat-trick against Leicester City last week has been followed up by a goal against Olympiacos and a brace against United – that’s six goals in three games for the former Barcelona star.

While incredibly impressive, his hat-trick against Leicester could have been a one off. A performance like this against a team the calibre of United is entirely different however, and definitely shows he’s right back in form.
He has been unstoppable ever since the game against Leicester, and looks to have been buoyed immensely after his first goal of the season. We’ve now got a confident Alexis Sanchez in our side, which is as deadly as they come in the Premier League.
