We strolled through our first pre-season clash, but our second match should prove a far sterner test. We’ll be facing Everton in the final of the Barclays Asia trophy final, and it will be a good chance to see how we stand up to Premier League opposition.
You can’t always take pre-season games too seriously, as they are more about fitness than anything else. We may well be able to gather some information from the game however, with Arsene Wenger likely to field a side that more resembles our usual starting XI.
Here are five things to watch out for in our clash against Everton:
5) Cech’s debut
- [Team news] Predicted Arsenal line up vs Villarreal – Six changes expected
- Three key players return in major boost for Arsenal vs Villarreal
- Arsenal add ex-academy star priced at £10m to summer shortlist
Despite the fact that we only signed the former Chelsea man a short while ago, it seems like we’ve been waiting an eternity for his debut.
We were expecting to see the Czech international feature in our first pre-season clash against a Singapore select XI, but instead have to wait until the Asia trophy final against Everton.
He is unquestionably still a top quality shot-stopper, but can he guide us to title glory?
