Arsenal legend Sol Campbell has hinted at a career in politics after being asked if he was set to stand as a Conservative candidate for Kensington.
Since retiring from football in 2011 following a brief spell at Newcastle, Campbell has been in limbo as to what path to take next.
There were brief spells coaching our U-18s and sporadic punditry roles, followed by some interesting applications for Premier League jobs through Instagram.

However, it seems as though a seat in the House of Commons beckons for Campbell after he refused to confirm or deny questions surrounding the vacant position.
Appearing on Sky News’ Murnaghan programme, Campbell was asked if he was thinking of standing for Sir Malcom Rifkind’s ex seat and he replied: “I think about a lot of things.”
The two-time Premier League winner has been very vocal regarding the lack of ethnic diversity among managers in Britain and his frustration at not being taking seriously in a management role may have led to his decision to pursue another career.
