Abou Diaby was among those that left the club this past Wednesday (via Arsenal.com), with the Frenchman’s contract expiring on July 1st. He is unlikely to be the only high profile exit this summer though, as Arsene Wenger appears to be becoming more ruthless.
There are four other Arsenal stars who look almost certain to leave the Emirates, with Wenger willing to listen to offers for all four, according to The Telegraph.
Below are the four players who look most likely to be sold this summer:
4) Mathieu Flamini
- Troy Deeney blasts Arsenal citing ‘poor management’ over Mesut Ozil exile
- Midfield ace’s agent ‘honoured’ that Arsenal are keen on transfer deal
- Ex-caretaker boss Freddie Ljungberg reveals why he had to leave Arsenal
The Frenchman confirmed towards the end of last season that he had one year remaining on his current contract, and that he was keen to fight for his place at the club (which you can see at 30 seconds of the video below):
He featured sporadically towards the tail end of 2014/15, but his performances have suggested that he isn’t up to the required standard anymore. We have been heavily linked with a move for a new defensive midfielder recently (via the Metro), and if we bring a new face to the club then he could well see himself shifted down the pecking order.
