Petr Cech’s arrival at the Emirates looks to be imminent, and – despite only arriving last summer – it seems as though David Ospina may well be the one to make way, according to the Metro.
Many appear to be unhappy about this, and would rather see Wojciech Szczesny pack his bags ahead of the Czech international’s arrival.
I think it would be a mistake to let Szczesny leave the club this summer however, as he is superior to Ospina in a number of ways.

Here are four reasons we have to keep Szczesny and let Ospina go instead:

4) He has more potential than Ospina
Ospina usurped Szczesny as our No.1 this season, and rightly so. The Pole was making far too many mistakes, and at times he was a liability. In stark contrast, the Colombian was showing remarkable reliability – which is something Szczesny is certainly not known for.
Despite their relatively similar ages however, it’s clear to see that Szczesny has far more potential. Ospina is a solid shot-stopper, but it’s difficult to see him improving any further. Szczesny on the other hand still looks as though he has a few gears he could shift into, and hopefully he can find them with us.
