N’Golo Kante has been a revelation for Leicester City this season, and has been a major factor in their successful campaign. He’s being monitored by a number of top clubs, and the Frenchman apparently has a £20m release clause in his contract, according to the Daily Mail.
Kante’s quality is really being recognised, with the 25-year-old among six players shortlisted for the PFA Player of the Year. The Daily Mail claim he’s being chased by Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, and French Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s some serious competition, but with a relatively low release clause we can’t really complain about being financially out muscled. He could obviously be offered significantly bigger wages to go elsewhere, but it’s not like we would be massively outgunned.
It’s hard to see him joining Chelsea, as they won’t have Champions League next season. Why would he leave Leicester to join a club with no European football? Unless he’s totally financially driven, then it wouldn’t make much sense.
It’s possible that he could look for a move back to France, and the fact that he’s from Paris originally could make PSG an appealing prospect. The French champions have no real competition for the league title though, which may not appeal to Kante.

A move to Tottenham could appeal to him, but (although somewhat biased) an Arsenal switch seems like a fantastic option.
