Arsenal have been handed more bad news regarding Santi Cazorla with reports the midfielder could be out for the season due to injury.
According to the Daily Express, the Spaniard will not be fit enough to return until April at the earliest, and that is provided he suffers no further setbacks.
The report claims he has an outside chance of playing in the final weeks of the season, which could be his final appearances in an Arsenal shirt.
Cazorla missed most of last season after picking up an ankle problem in the Champions League against Ludogorets.
The 32-year-old has subsequently admitted he has undergone multiple operations to fix the problem, but now faces more time on the sidelines.
Cazorla was certainly missed by Arsenal next season, and should the news prove correct, Arsene Wenger must surely need to move for a replacement in the transfer window.

The club have extended Cazorla’s contract which now runs until 2018 but it appears that injury may be about to put a premature end to his Arsenal career.
It’s desperately sad news for such a key player for the club and we can only hope that Cazorla’s problems are not as bad as feared.
Get well soon Santi!
