Sanchez has been lighting up the Premier League with his performances this season, which is in stark contrast to di Maria – who has been extremely unimpressive.
The Argentine cost Manchester United a record £59.7m this past summer, while we spent just £35m on Sanchez.
Neville still insists however, that had he been asked at the start of the season, he would have taken di Maria.
“Obviously Sanchez has had a far bigger impact and a better season than di Maria. But if you would have asked me at the start of the season; Sanchez or di Maria – I would have said di Maria,” he said.

“I like Sanchez as well, but I would have said di Maria at the start of the season.
“di Maria and Shaw will prove to be fantastic signings for United, but they just need to perform to the level and they [Manchester United] need to get the best out of them.”
The former Real Madrid man looked to be a superb signing on Louis van Gaal’s part, but his excellent start to life in the Premier League didn’t last long. He has struggled with the physicality of the English top flight, and hasn’t thrived in England like many hoped he would.
Sanchez has taken to the English game like a duck to water however, and looks perfectly suited for the hustle and bustle. He has been going through a mini goal drought recently, but hopefully he can find his shooting boots before the close of the season.
