Olivier Giroud’s agent Michael Manuello has played down talk of the Arsenal striker moving to Marseille this summer.
There have been reports recently that the France international could be heading to Ligue 1 with Marseille out to land a striker this summer.
However, Manuello says such speculation is false although he did admit that there was a possibility Giroud could move on this summer.
“It’s a lie – between the player and Marseille, there is nothing,” Michael Manuello told Sport 24.
“I cannot say that this summer, nothing will happen, but at the moment, it is not a subject [between the two parties].”
Giroud signed a new Arsenal deal this summer and has repeatedly insisted he is happy at the club he joined from Montpellier in 2012.

However, there is no denying he is struggling for game time this season and has made just 14 Premier League appearances, scoring nine times.
The 30-year-old has grabbed some crucial goals this season but has been forced onto the bench due to Alexis Sanchez’s form in a central role.
Giroud is not the only forward struggling for minutes, with summer signing Lucas Perez also reportedly frustrated with his bit-part role at the club.
Perez has impressed on the rare occasions he has been handed a chance, and is popular among fans, although it looks almost certain now that he will depart in the summer in search of regular game time.
