The 18 year old was in impressive form during the 2-0 victory at Emirates Stadium and set up Santi Cazorla for the home side’s opener against their local rivals.
The German u-19 international stated that he was pleased with his performance but feels that he can always do better.
Speaking to the Arsenal official website, he said:
I’m just grateful that I’ve heard I put in a good performance. I think that as well I’ve done, I can always do better.
I always want to win against Tottenham. I feel great to have put in a good performance to help the team to win.
Of course you are more motivated [against them] than to play against any other team in the Premier League and to win against Tottenham is a big thing for every Arsenal fan and every Arsenal player.

It feels great as a young player to start in a game against Tottenham in a big derby – it’s a great feeling. I just tried to do my best and help the team to win.
The German has been a revelation in his breakthrough year and has made eight appearances in all competitions. He certainly has impressed fans with his performances and already has shown he has a bright future ahead of him.
He has been on the Arsenal bench in almost every league game this season and has gone from a promising youth prospect to an established member of Arsenal’s squad and it certainly looks like there’s more to come. He’s certainly a very good impact player; such is his raw pace and direct runs into the box.
He played like a thorough pro against Tottenham and his assist for Santi Cazorla’s opener was simple but effective, while some of the skills he produced when taking on Danny Rose down the right hand side were nothing short of breathtaking. His performance was all the more impressive when you consider that he was turning out for Arsenal’s Next Gen side last year.
He scored his first senior goal this campaign against Swansea and from what’s been seen of him already, it’s clear that Gnabry will score many more with the Gunners.
