Former Arsenal manager George Graham believes Jack Wilshere is one of the few world class players currently plying their trade at Emirates and he can inspire his side to a third place finish.
The Gunners are right back in the reckoning for a top four finish and could even hop Chelsea and Tottenham if they win their upcoming fixtures against Everton and Norwich at home.
While not backing Arsenal earlier on in the season, Graham feels they are now the favourites to guarantee Champions League qualification as Arsene Wenger’s side have a more appetizing season run-in than rivals Tottenham and Chelsea, and they will do so with one of their greatest assets – Jack Wilshere.
Graham told talkSPORT:
Jack Wilshere is one of the few world-class players in the team.
He was out for so long and they missed him. He’s not only got wonderful technical ability, but he’s a natural winner. They need that drive from midfield, without question.

I fancy Arsenal. I didn’t earlier in the season but now they’re favourites and could maybe even end up third.
Tottenham have been outstanding this season. In the games I saw them play earlier this season I thought they would definitely be in the top four, but if you look at the fixture list they have got a very, very hard run-in.
Arsenal’s only real tough game is away at Manchester United.
Arsene Wenger has been under a lot of pressure and criticism this season, some of it is justified, but when it comes to the run-in at the end of the season he’s been fantastic.
They’re not the Arsenal of old but they’re picking up important points and playing with a lot of confidence.
The Scotsman has not always expressed this kind of positivity towards Arsene Wenger’s side this season, criticizing the Frenchman earlier on, however his change of tune is testament to how well Arsenal are playing at present and the real possibility of securing third spot. Second is also mathematically on the cards however it will take a miracle for City to slip up especially after their win in the Manchester Derby tonight.
It is imperative Wilshere returns to action soon, however he should slot in for Ramsey alongside Arteta, and allow Rosicky to continue doing his thang in the more advanced role. The Gunners have an achievable fixture list, and there is a high possibility they could go the rest of the season unbeaten.
As Graham said the only likely loss will be against United at home on April 28, however they may have already won the title by then, but despite Everton visiting Emirates Stadium next week the likes Norwich, QPR and Fulham look more enticing opponents then their rivals. This is the Premier League though and any side can cause you problems as we have seen time and time again.
Arsenal going unbeaten for the remainder of the season? Quite a distinct possibility. Common You Gunners!
