Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has insisted that his side can win the Premier League title in his first season in England (via The Standard).
Matteo Guendouzi has had a lightning-fast start to his Arsenal career after joining from Lorient last month.
The 19-year-old impressed in preseason and made his Premier League debut against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
The Frenchman had a tricky match against last season’s champions. The two clubs looked far apart on the pitch but Guendouzi doesn’t appear to think so, as was evidenced when asked whether he believes the Gunners can win the Premier League title.
“Yes, I believe we can win it this season because of the players and staff we have,” said Guendouzi.
“We truly believe and will do everything we can to win as many games as we can and to have a fantastic season. I truly believe we can do it.

“Man City are a top team but there are a lot of top teams in this division because the Premier League is the best league in Europe.
“There are plenty of others but we can be very positive and achieve good things this season. We can win titles because of the environment we have here and the quality of the players at our disposal.”
Matteo Guendouzi appears to be a hugely confident young player. He has shown incredible ability on the pitch and clearly holds the rest of his team in high regard. Guendouzi may not be right about his claims that the Gunners could win the title this season but it’s a good attitude to have.
