Yes it’s time for more Gonzalo Higuain to Arsenal transfer gossip, however this time it is actually positive, promising news from the players father.
Despite recently reporting that the deal could potentially be put on ice, Higuain senior has declared that his son hopefully will be in the Premier League next season as his current employers Real Madrid have agreed to let the striker discuss terms with his next club.
The Gunners have completed just the one signing so far with the young French striker Yaya Sanogo moving to Emirates on a free transfer, and Gooners will be hoping that the reported £22million move for Higuain will be sorted soon.
Arsene Wenger’s team have been in the running to sign the Argentina international for some time, with the forwards brother/agent recently claiming Arsenal are the front runners. Now the signs are looking more positive with Juventus essentially out of negotiations, and Higuain’s father claiming a move could be organized soon that will see the soon-to-be-former Madrid frontman hit English soil soon.
Higuain’s father reportedly told TuttoMercato.
We do not negotiate with any club without permission of the selling club.
- Arsenal told ‘no less than £50m’ for top defensive transfer target
- Arsenal keen to sign 16th best ranked Premier League stopper
- Arsenal keeping tabs on €40m Italy star after ‘outstanding’ season
We have permission [from Madrid] and hopefully we can soon see my son in the Premier League.
Arsenal have to wrap this deal up.. and soon! It has been dragging on for too long, they must front up the fee and break the Gunners transfer record.
What you think Gooners? Bet you’re all sick of it as much as we are!
