Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway feels he can help Marouane Chamakh’s faltering career as the Morrocan nears officially moving to the newly promoted Premier League side.
Chamakh confirmed on his official Twitter account on Saturday night that he is joining Palace, as the out of favour striker looks to regain regular first team action once again.
The forward has been in north London for three years, however spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United which did little to resurrect his form.
Holloway feels he can rejuvenate his career at Selhurst Park as he’s done it in the past with other players, after seeing his Arsenal career fall to tatters despite early promise when he first arrived in England.
The Palace manager told reporters after his side’s friendly defeat at the hands of Lazio on Saturday:
It’s about him getting going again and I normally do all right with people whose careers are faltering.

I love them and work with them. Hopefully I can get him back to what he played like when he first went to Arsenal.
There was nothing wrong with him when he scored eight in nine. But I wouldn’t fancy being Robin van Persie’s understudy. It couldn’t have been fun.
Chamakh flourished when he first came to Emirates with Robin van Persie on the sidelines injured, however when the Dutchman returned he fell by the wayside.
Last season he can be remembered for his fantastic double against Reading in the Capital One Cup thriller, however nothing more than that unfortunately.
Best of luck to the Moroccan international, it will be the last the Gunners will see of him as his current contract expires next summer.
