Chelsea are edging Man City and Liverpool in the hunt to sign Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with less than a month to go until the transfer window closes, that is according to a number of reports including in The Sun.
With homegrown quotas to improved by a number of clubs, a sudden burst of interest had re-developed for Arsenal’s right side man and even the bookmakers are going all in backing the Ox to make the move to West London and pull on the blue of Chelsea this upcoming season.
The transfer rumours are also pretty timely considering Arsenal meet Chelsea this Sunday at Wembley for the Community Shield, with particular interest now being paid on whether or not Oxlade-Chamberlain starts against his potential future club or whether Arsene Wenger will send a statement of their intent to keep him by starting him Sunday.
Just under two weeks ago reports covered here at All Arsenal claimed that Stoke were making advances to bring in the 23-year old English international but a sudden swell of interest could mean that the Ox may be returning to Champions League action sooner than he might have thought, with Liverpool also not that far behind in the running; if the odds with bookmakers are anything to go by.
What do you think could happen? Will Wenger let him go at the right price or will Oxlade-Chamberlain be an integral part this season? Could a Thomas Lemar move push him even further down the pecking order?
